Plot/story elements: Did I feel attached to the story or poem? I felt the woman's conflict. She doesn't know which path to take. It's almost like I feel like she's closer to the truth, letting night cover wisdom. But it makes sense because the night discovers the fools and either breaks them or shapes them depending on their coping mechanisms. Or at least, that's the way I'm interpreting this piece. Would I recommend this piece of writing to someone else? This piece would speak to a complicated and veiled mind. Someone who feels the need to live in the contrast of day and night, truth and lie. Contention is good for the soul. Was there a clear purpose to it? The woman has to decide which road to travel. She's either going to bask in the sun with fools or live in the truth of the night. It's an incredibly honest poem whose writer understands the harsh realities of life. Glows: I'm struck by the wisdom of this poem. So many people believe if they keep themselves shrouded from the dark and only live in the day it will not touch them. But, the dark touches all of us and those of us who can live in the struggle and still fight for the light are the lucky ones, for they know truth.
