Rhythm/Rhyme:
The rhythm flowed well from one stanza to the next. The rhyme scheme worked, each word playing upon the next showing the birth of this season and what it means.

Summary:
The joys of winter and everything it brings with it. Snow, ice, bitter cold, and even beauty. It also gives new life to nature, protecting plants as they go dormant until the spring, getting their rest until the weather changes and it's time to bloom again.

Critique:
You were able to conjure good images in my mind as I read through your poem about Winter. Living in Michigan I know all the signs of snow, winter and what that stillness is like after a big snowstorm blankets everything. Loved the images of the wolf howling at the moon. You packed a lot into this poem, with a good rhyme scheme throughout. I've read it a few times, the tempo seems to be smooth as well. I realized last year after a mild winter that Spring wasn't as exciting. It was coming, we knew that, but it was a slow process. When you have a rough Winter, lots of snow, ice storms, brutal cold, it makes you appreciate the beauty and splendor of spring, as the colors pop all around you with their telltale signs. Mild Winter, no flourishing flowers, no cleaning of the land by the Winter. I know it's July, but I'm now really looking forward to a big snowfall come this Winter. Thanks for sharing. Write on!
