Child's Play [E] Is there a difference between the young and the old? |
Hi JACE , This review is a part of "Game of Thrones" [13+]. Overall Impression: This is an interesting piece, dear Jace. There is a lot of truth in it. Children do often want to be older. People do indeed feel protective of children, feel that they need to warn them, and look after them. And then, older people are often seen as being as simple, trusting, innocent and indeed perhaps even gullible as children. Whether that is true or not. In quite a few cases it actually isn't - I know and have known senior citizens who were still as sharp as anything. And they are often seen as needing care. Again, whether they want it or not. Is the time in-between the best, then? I don't know. I have known many people who were dreading the big 30, and dreading 40 even worse, and so on. So it seems we stop wanting to be older when we are in our 20s, which is not old at all. See, your poem made me think. On the technical side of things, this piece reads well. I love the presentation. I also love your use of punctuation - very helpful. All in all, I enjoyed it. Suggestions: I have no suggestions. Not very helpful, I know, but I didn't spot any errors, nor did I see anything I thought could be improved upon. My Rating: As you can no doubt tell, I liked this poem. It made me think about the circle of life. I had no suggestions. Therefore, I will give this item a rating of 5 out of 5. Thank you for sharing your work, and write on!
