"Game of Thrones"  Open in new Window. by Creeper Of The Realm Author Icon

Rhythm/Rhyme:
There were some good rhymes in this sad, yet hopeful poem. The flow read pretty naturally from one stanza to the next. It was easy to follow and get caught up into the emotional loss of love.

Summary:
As relationships go, the incredible high and excitement falls into routine and your poem shows the disconnect of the relationship. It's not just that the lack of connection is realized, but it is felt on a deep level.

Critique:
I like that you went through the emotions that comes with a couple drifting apart. You didn't just talk about one aspect of the relationship that changed, but every aspect that made this couple come together in the first place. Realizing how things used to be, seeing the changes from then to now was shown well. The romantic in me liked that you left a little hope dangling at the end. You had good imagery throughout this heartfelt poem. I could identify with the scenario of distance and how that affects a relationship. You brought the feelings to the forefront, and made this an easy read. Nice Job. Write on!
