Overall Impression:

This is a beautiful, passionate poem, dear author. It expresses what love can be. The kind of love people are looking for. A love that can be difficult to find, but when you have it, it's the kind of love you never let go of.

True love is indeed a need. It's a deep, connected sharing between two human beings. It cannot be expressed in a single word, as you say. I think that you do an excellent job of describing it in this poem.

On the technical side of things, you have done a great job. This piece has a good rhythm and flow. I love your use of punctuation - very helpful. And I love that you allow the capitalisation at the beginning of each line to depend upon the individual sentences within the piece. That perfects the overall clarity and reading experience.
