Plot/story elements: Did I feel attached to the story or poem? I feel as if I'm there in the setting of this piece, you describe it so beautifully. Would I recommend this piece of writing to someone else? I have never been to the Adriondacks and now I'd love to see Piseco Lake. I bet the foliage is beautiful and the weather is crisp. Many species of birds probably make their home there and I can see them in my mind's eye roosting and flying in the clear blue sky. Was there a clear purpose to it? I felt like I was there and would like to see it in person. It sounds amazingly beautiful. I love that you hear a song playing on the breeze. Is it like a lullaby or a sonata? Perhaps it sounds a bit unique. I wonder if you could expand your thought here. Nature poems are so important because they inspire us to be stewards of it. Glows: The way you describe the granite boulders paint such a vivid picture. They are pretty gray and solitary. Grows: I wonder if you can expand a couple of lines and describe more aspects of the mountains. I bet they have tall peaks and snow caps. I also wonder what are the scents in the air? Are there fires burning or is it a more natural scene? Just some question I had after reading your piece.
