Hi Vaughan Jones - ONE Scribe Author Icon,

This review is a part of "Game of ThronesOpen in new Window. [13+]. *Smile*

Overall Impression:

This is a powerful poem, dear author. An analysis of the situation humanity has found itself in. It reflects upon how we perceive ourselves to be better than other species, yet the animal inside of us is, as you say, the worst kind.

I enjoyed the imagery present in this piece, woven through political and societal comment. It is cleverly done, and sends a clear message of the economic and political state that affects nations around the globe. Humankind appears to be stuck in a destructive mindset, and whilst change for the better can be - and should be - achieved, there is no clear will to do so.

On the technical side of things, this poem reads well. I enjoyed the rhythm and the flow. The repeated lines work. Excellent use of punctuation that assists the overall clarity. Great job!

Suggestions:

I have no suggestions about the poem's content. I like it just the way it is. The only thing I'd suggest is allowing the capitalisation at the beginning of each line to depend upon the individual sentences within the piece. This would perfect the overall clarity and reading experience.

My Rating:

A strong poem with a strong message. It's a good read.

I did have one suggestion, but that's more of a personal preference. So, I will still give this item a rating of 5 out of 5.

Thank you for sharing your work, and write on!
