 | Eggplant  [E] A little information about eggplant for my August 5, 2016 "The Challenge."  |
| (5.0)| Ahoy, Jody! Funny I should come across this piece, because I'm not well known for liking my vegetables (more on that later). You've written a nice informative article here about this plant, and I was glad to find out about the different colors and the population that's allergic to it. I might have check this out just to see if that allergy is fatal!  Now back to my story about eggplant. When my dad first moved to California when I was a kid my grandmother made us eggplant for din din one night, but knowing my distaste for any vegetables, she went behind my back and fried it, and then told me it was FISH! Now I've always loved fish of any sort, so needless to say I loved that eggplant, and I even had 2nds and 3rds! It was only after din din was over that she showed what I had eaten! But hey, I think I was only about 7 or 8 years old at that time! Still, I love fried eggplant to this day, but I doubt anybody could ever cook it like my grandmother! Anyway, great job!
