Prompt: "There can be only one."Highlander (1986)

First impression: For me, this poem loosely describes the movie or TV show "The Highlander", which I loved. *Smile* The first eight lines rhymed and flowed beautifully. However, the following lines did not follow the nice rhythm and rhyme pace that you set up in the beginning. Which in turn makes this piece feel almost like two different poems.

Does this poem reference the prompt?: Yes

Suggestions: The only suggestion I have is that if it's possible, revamping the last twelve lines to match the rhythm and rhyme of the first eight would make this piece more polished. Of course, since you are the author, it is entirely up to you whether my advise is something you will consider.

Final thoughts: Poetry, as with most written works, is subjective. Ultimately, the writer is the only one who knows if their piece is complete. For me, the first eight lines are the best and highlights your talent the most.

This concludes my review. Thank you for allowing me the pleasure of reading and reviewing your work and for participating in my contest. I wish you continued success with your writing and in life. Good luck in the contest! Write on, read on, rate on!~ Taryn
