Review brought to you by: "Game of Thrones" by Creeper Of The Realm OVERALL IMPRESSION - I really enjoyed the family dynamic you managed to get into this short story. WHAT I LIKED BEST - When the big realization hit Sam about the real importance of the day. PLOT~ Sam's mother practically has to twist his arm to get him to agree to come over and watch the total eclipse with her and his grandmother. He finally relents and when he pulls up at his mother's his grandmother's boat of a Buick is parked crooked in the driveway, and the chairs are set up waiting for him. CHARACTER(S)~DESCRIPTION~ Sam seems annoyed at first when his mother tells him she wants him over for the eclipse. But once he's there, things change for him. Sam's mom who sees the importance of this day as something bigger than just the eclipse, knowing it could be one of their last memories together. It is a good family piece, reminding everyone that even the little amounts of time spent together are worth it. Nice job. DIALOG~ I could picture mother and son going back and forth before he relents and gives in. I still do this with my kids, lol. Once Sam arrives and he mentions when the next eclipse is, he's shocked to discover just how old they will all be when the next one happens.
