Review brought to you by: "Game of Thrones" by Creeper Of The Realm OVERALL IMPRESSION - A sad war story, with great descriptions. PLOT~ John and William are freezing and wet from the falling snow, away from any warmth and the rest of the men in the trenches with them. Their task to fire a few random rounds into the air to engage the enemy. All they can think about is getting warm. William is ready to join the rest of the men next to the heated barrels and claim victory, believing that the enemy has fled. John thinks they are just biding their time. William decides it's time to prove no one is out there and stands in the trench to roll his last cigarette. CHARACTER(S)~DESCRIPTION~ William can't take it anymore and decides to do something drastic so that he and John can join the others and get some warmth. John tries to reason with William but knows it won't do him any good. Nice job showing how cold they were, what they wanted and the dynamics of their friendship. DIALOG~ John seems to be the more level headed one, even being soaked to the bone he isn't willing to take such a risk but knows there's no way to talk William out of doing something stupid. Their conversation flowed well, felt natural and helped to show the conditions they were in down in that trench. TECHNICAL~ our skin turns read-red.
