Hi there, Fyn!
I like this. The idea of stone fences may seem mundane to some, but from where I come from back in northern California, you seem them everywhere.
I can't say I've seen this particular Scottish dialect used before for poetry, but I have heard about it. Regardless, it seems to work well for this; it gives the aged 'old time' effect of how your 'Grand Da' would have said this about the fences.
As to what I was saying about what I know about stone fences, apparently the Chinese built a lot of the ones where I'm from back in CA. There's even an old Chinese cemetery in Yreka, CA dedicated to the ones who spent their lives building them! And although they weren't built to keep people out, they did and still do serve their purpose of keeping cattle where they belong. At least for the most part.
Well done, my friend!
Kee ponw ritin gon, thanks for sharing this, and have a marvelous day!
