Greetings, Rocco!
I like this. I might be 52 years old and already know this, but you opened my eyes and made me look at this 'perception' thing in a different light. That's to say I was kind of taking it for granted.
As I've grown older I've fallen into the idea that that's just how life is: rush, rush, rush, and life is supposed to be chaotic. Meanwhile, I'm missing the important things you mentioned; I need to slow down, stop, and smell the flowers, so to speak.
So I guess I am/was a creature of habit, but I definitely need to slow down and open eyes once more.
I normally don't understand pieces like this, and maybe I didn't understand this one in the way you meant it. But whether I did or not, I still got a lot from it, and for that I thank you!
Perception is only what we make of it, right?
Nice job, my friend! With pieces like this, it's no wonder you've been published!
