This is a sad piece, but it's one I have to agree with you 100%!
Yes, we are all connected, and I share your idea about running away to an island with our loved ones. But because we're all connected and everybody would wind up on that island, that means that a murderer would end up there too because somebody would have inadvertently brought them along, through no fault of their own.
Oddly enough, I also made a comment to my ex about taking my oldest daughter to Canada with her sons shortly after watching that Florida shooting unfold. I knew it wouldn't happen (although I do have the finances), but it just made me so angry to see what kind of world my grandchildren have to live in! My youngest Grandannason (10 years old) even asked his older 10 year old brother if he could borrow one of his belts so he could secure the school doors in case an intruder tried to get in! That's what these children have to think about in this day age? That's sick! I was born in '65, and things like this just didn't happen when I was their age!
You've done an excellent job with this, BS! This piece is NOT BS, but the shootings are!
