Hello there again, J.E.!
I used to write these FFs quite a bit (even won a few!), so I know how difficult it can be to try to get a decent story in using so few words, but you did a great job with this! You used the prompt words very inconspicuously, as opposed to other people who just drop them in there and they stick out like a sore thumb!
Nice twist at the end, too, although I think you could have put it off a little longer until at least the very last paragraph. But that's just my opinion, for what it's worth.
I know for a fact that Buffy in 2343485 Author Icon loves twisted endings (or she wouldn't host The "Twisted Tales Contest" Open in new Window.), so this probably has a good shot at winning!
