Greetings, CalicoJT (JoAnn)! This is a really nice piece about bringing peace to the world by negotiating and realizing that we're all the same and we were all brought here together by one 'supreme being', regardless of what he might be called. I'm not as religious as I used to be (I was baptized Catholic when I was younger, and I still am to a certain extent), but I've often wondered why religion has to be one of the main factors in these wars? It used to be over land-which country could grab the most land so they could take over the world-but these middle eastern wars have been going on since time immemorial and will likely continue for time infinitum. I don't mean to be sarcastic (or whatever word I'm looking for), but to use the words of Rodney King, 'Can't we all just get along?' I was just watching the news about Syria and how they're randomly bombing these cities with barrel bombs from helicopters, and they figure about 25% of the casualties are children! What the He**? These are little ones who don't know even know what's going on in the world or why they being killed or for what reason! You've made a very good point here, JoAnn, and using dogs and cats as an analogy was a great way to go about it! On a side note, I was raised around Great Danes, and we had a few cats too. The funny thing was when we'd bring a new Dane pup home and he got too close to the cat for the 1st time, the cats would always give him a light swat across his face, and from that point on they always got along perfectly! They'd even sleep together with the cat cuddled up in the crook of the Dane's chest and it's head resting on his legs! On another side note, my sis once brought a cat home from a friend who had passed away and it wouldn't come out from under the couch for a month, only because it was in a new place, not because she had any other pets! But now it acts like it rules the house! Great job, JoAnn! The spelling and grammar were flawless (thank you!), and the whole piece read smoothly! Kee ponw ritin gon, my friend! Thanks for sharing this, and welcome to WdC! If you like to write, then you're going to love it here! (And congrats on being published!)
