I enjoyed your haiku and the accompanying calligraphic script. I am not an haiku expert by any means so take these suggestions with several grains of Himalayan pink salt. I know this transposes the syllabic line--however, I think the poem is more effective with line 1--when the cicadas cry out/the red sun sinks low/summer departing. Blessings on your writing journey.
