I'm sending this review as part of I Write in 2019. You posted before me, so here is my review.

My Impression
The first time I read this, I thought the taboo word was cotton candy, because of the "airy fluff" and "sugar-coated dreams." However, that was only because I didn't read closely enough. My next read-through I caught that we were obviously attending a child's first birthday party, so therefore it MUST be birthday cake. I like the imagery of the sticky fingerprints and the streamers. A nostalgic, "sweet" poem!


Suggestions
I don't have any for the poem itself. It might be a nice cutesy touch to make the font colors more pastel, or to even use the birthday cake emoji or or
