Howdy, Hullabaloo!
This is a neat story! Sadly though, it brought back some memories of my own when I first introduced to these new ‘creatures’ when they first started invading our homes in the 90s.
OK. Maybe I wasn’t as bad as Helen, but I was still reluctant to get near computers. In fact, I barely knew how to turn one on until about 10 years ago!
You did a great job misdirecting the reader with Helen’s fear of ‘the box’ and what was in it, although some of those ‘hints’ came a little early. But it was still a great analogy to what some folks feel about technology these days.
Flawless spelling and grammar, nice use of the prompt phrase, and a perfect ending!
