Guten tag, Hullabaloo!
Saw this in the "Short Stories Newsletter (November 6, 2019)" Open in new Window. and had to check it out! Glad I did, too!
This isn’t bad. There’s a lot of arguments for both sides of Daylight Savings Time, and you made some very valid points here, especially with the one about child safety in the mornings.
If I’m correct, the whole notion of DST arose about farmers not wanting to lose their early morning hours so could get into the fields before the heat of the day. Or something like that, anyway.
Great spelling and dialogue, and I agree with 100% about a co-worker throwing under the bus at the last minute.
One comment:
‘The speaker against the clock adjustment was winding up.’ (‘winding up’ *Laugh* Did you make that play on words on purpose?)
