Hello, Gregory Paul. This is good. Whether or not this is based on a real life experience, I like how you described what you were feeling as the tornado approached and the fear of the people as they sought shelter, as well the fear you felt and the sadness when you and the family emerged from that shelter. I'm no expert on poetry, so I'll keep my comments about the structure to a minimum: it seemed a little bumpy in a couple of those stanzas regarding the meter (syllable count). On a side note, I moved here to TX from California about 9 years ago, and Tyler is in Tornado Alley. There's been a few tornadoes within 50 miles of here, but I've only heard the warning sirens once in this city, thank God! So far, I've never seen a tornado firsthand, and I hope it stays that way! Anyway, nice job. Kee ponw ritin gon, Greg! Thanks for sharing this, and once again, welcome to WdC!
