It is my pleasure to read your poem, Ghost Writer, and give you a review. Welcome to WDC! Message: Cute poem, maybe a little on the dark side, but I smiled at the end. A talented spirit decides to put her spin on a horror story, along with her cat who kept her company. This puts a whole new spin on Ghost Writer, which this author aptly named her poem. Narrative/Style: The narrative structure shows dramatic action, determined the key conflict - which this main character ignored with confidence. The style is comedy. Form/Flow/Tone/Mood: The form is free style, it seemed to be lyrical bordering on a limerick the way it flowed so smoothly when read out loud, along with a sense of humor. The tone is contemplative, reflecting on an issue and putting it down on paper. The mood is earnest, fanciful, and sharing inner feelings. Imagery/Pace: The imagery - "All murky she sat, with her palindrome pen" & "her Hallowe’en cat was asleep once again." FAVORITE LINE: When she’d written her prose, and its vapours arose, she danced (for the spirit was willing). OPINION: There is nothing like patting yourself on the back for a job well done, or dance to show your joy. Write On! Thank you for sharing your work with us!
