Welcome to WdC from the "Newbie Welcome Wagon" Hi Shadow Prowler-Spreading Love ! I saw that someone else reviewed this article so I decided you should receive another! Even though this was a nonfiction article, there are many elements that make up fictional stories that are also present here, like characters, dialogue, and the storytelling arc of beginning, middle and end. Although brief, it was very detailed and there was an amazing moral to the story. I agree that it's important to engage nonverbal people in communication, even if only one person is speaking. It comes naturally to you because you see them simply as people just like anyone else, but many do not; they see them as disabled, which brings about fear, usually fear of the unknown because if they've never had experience interacting with a nonverbal person, then it's completely unknown to them. Fear makes people act very strange! I loved how the one client actually spoke near the end of the article. That must have been an amazing moment, and I was so happy that you were vindicated in your talking to your clients. Your clients were lucky to have you, and this was very well written. Thanks for sharing this story! Keep writing! April
