Greetings, Jacky! I discovered this thought-provoking piece on Read & Review and decided to review it. First of all, my reviews are intended to be helpful and encouraging, not hurtful in any way. Use what you feel works for you, and leave the rest. What I Liked I immediately connected to this piece as I've often wondered the same thing. I thought perhaps the snail left its shell for just a bit to do whatever and then might come back, but that is probably just hopeful thinking on my part. Like you, I look things up on my cell phone. It's a bit confusing because one answer tells me the snail leaves its shell to mate or lay eggs, while another answer says the snail is physically attached to its shell always. Perhaps they are different snails? Snails can live 2-3 years, though larger species, up to 10. Look what your piece here has done, lol. I just have to know these things! I liked that you brought the shell home and put it in a potted plant, a sort of tribute to the snail. That was so thoughtful! You comparison of the shell with the house you live in was a good one. I remember when my grandma died and I was at her funeral, and staring at her in the casket. Someone told me that her body was just a shell her soul had lived in and that her body had died and her soul now lived in heaven. That was actually very comforting to me. I like you inquisitiveness! I'm very much the same way! Suggestions to Consider I found nothing distracting at all. Nicely written and from the heart! Final Thoughts I'm glad I read this. It's not only a bit informative, but it comes from within, thoughts put to paper. I enjoyed this piece very much! Have a great day and... K e e p on W r i t i n g ! Cubby ")
