Our life does not go at the same pace all through. The lyricist tries to reflect that truth in this lyric.
In the beginning, we see the narrator is in deep trouble. He does not like violence, but the teller slips into the trap. So he fills sad. But he does not lose belief in God. He prays to Lord to rescue him from that precarious situation and back again into the mainstream of life.
Therefore, the lyric ends with a positive message.
It is a fantastic song with the realities of our life.
