Four letters and a river of definitions [E] What is your definition of this simple word? |
A WDC Power Review Hi R . I'm JACE , and I have the honor of reading and reviewing your offering "Four letters and a river of definitions" . I invite your attention to the comments below. Please bear in mind these notes are from one on the outside looking in; ultimately only you can decide what's right for your story. Overall Impression. I admit that I have a hard time reviewing free form poetry. But I'm trying to push myself into other areas of writing. I found your offering in the Read & Review section. Your title enticed me into reading your poem. I wanted to know what the four letters were. You're right--these letters do indeed offer a host of definitions. Your poem made me think of my life and how it's progressed to present. That itself gives your poem a measure of success. Technical and Editorial Considerations. In this section I normally list those areas that relate specifically to the mechanics of your writing--punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc. A suggestion: Your third line essentially begs for this. Or, at least some semblance of letter separation. L. I. F. E. Again, free form poetry is hard to review. There are so many things to consider. For myself, I think these two lines should be together, thereby matching the rest of your lines.
