The poet is one of the most favourite poets in our community. She wrote some emotional poems that make us thoughtful. That poem is one of them. There is no doubt about it.
In this poem, the poetess tells us her feelings about ads for the military which is a nasty business.
The author is a true patriot who loves her nation too much. We may have different faiths, but "we are all the human race."- This is the real truth.
But, the most striking part at the end of the poetry:-

"As Country Joe sang during the Vietnam War,
“Mothers, be the first on your block,
to bring your boy home in a box”.
These lines show the extreme surrender of the National interest. Everything, even if it is the most adorable, can be sacrificed for the sake of the nation.
