Ole Man Fisherman [E] Short story on the life behind an old fishermans eyes |
It is a good short story. It fulfils the maximum characteristics of an ideal short story but not all. I shall discuss those later. This is a Short Story about the life behind an old fisherman's eyes. He wishes to spend life with his family but his profession does not permit him to fulfil his desires. Here time is money. It is essential to earn money for the food for the family. This subject is ideal for building a fantastic short story. We know that every short story must contain a minimum number of characters. Here, the number of characters is only one. It is also perfectly matched for the rule of a short story. In the end, we see that the fisherman does not manage to get the time with his family due to earning some money. It is a tragic end, but it is meaningful and logical. But due to too much descriptive nature of the story, it suffers from pocket to pocket which hampers the pace of the story. But, a true short story always maintains the pace. So, the writer should work hard at that pace. Overall, it is a satisfactory performance. Go ahead. Keep writing. My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
