What images flashed across my mind as I read this one!
In a few simple, well-chosen words, you've painted a picture of the darker side of a 'loving' relationship. The pacing is perfect. The last line had me wondering, and I haven't decided what exactly it implies.

My suggestion would be for WritingML - font, size, line space.
