It's great how you've used natural phenomena to echo the human experience. I actually found myself thinking of my Dad, who passed away in November 2023, while reading some of those lines about pain and relief! The line Limp limbs linger too long seems to have been written for him.

The imagery and emotions are powerful, as is the hope at the conclusion of the piece. A special shout out for the easy to read centered layout.
