What a great response to the prompt.

The words and verse structure echo the mood and readers can relate and empathise.

I appreciate that the character makes no excuses or asks for no leeway - just straight out takes responsibility for what happened. I also like the acknowledgement that in betraying another, the character has betrayed self.

My favourite part is the last verse - where you bring nature into the emotions and look for some hope there.

I have no suggestions for improvement.
