This poem set me thinking. It can be interpreted in myriad ways, but your title and brief description put the interpretation you'd like upfront.
In fact, I'm wondering if I would have put that spin on it had I not read the brief description. The whole poem sounds sort of sinister, with sudden relief in the last line. I'd probably have thought of something darker and then been confused!
The imagery is powerful. Like I said, the last line loosens the grip a bit.
My teeny suggestions would be to add more genres, and for WritingML like font, size and line space.
