This is a "Game of ThronesOpen in new Window. review!

Hello, dragonwoman!

*Checkb*Overall Impression:
It's a fun and fast read for Sherlock Holmes fans!

*Checkb*Title and Description:
The title is great, and you've used the description well to inform readers about what it is and how long it will take to read.

*Checkb*Hook and plot:
This story does a good job of mimicking the general atmosphere of Doyle's beloved characters. The setup of a crime where nobody saw anything is intriguing and sets the stage for a classic mystery. That hook is effective, and the plot quickly unfolds. The discovery that the potential witnesses are visually impaired was unexpected and is a good nod to the 'nobody saw anything' trope a reader would expect.

Due to the short word count, some of the more nuanced aspects of the typical plot style are not available. I wouldn't consider them 'lost' since it is clear you have a solid grasp of the characters and how they go about doing what they do. It is merely a function of word limits, and we work with what we have. You've done a great job in a very tight word count.

*Checkb*Characters and dialogue:
The characters are consistent with the classic portrayal of Sherlock and Watson. I imagine this will make fans of the two very happy. The dialogue portrays each of their personalities well, with Holmes being awkwardly direct and Watson being more thoughtful. It does its job of driving the story forward, slowly dropping key details, and the addition of Lestrade rounds out the dynamic well. Unfortunately, the character limits curtail Sherlock's eccentricities a fair bit, but it isn't a flaw of the story.

*Checkb*Grammar and Mechanics:
There were no glaring errors that jumped out at me. The writing style is appropriately structured in the style of Doyle but remains accessible to the average reader.

*Checkb*Final Thoughts:
The story fits nicely into the Sherlock Homes continuum, and I'm sure it will please fans both old and new.

Thank you for sharing your work with us!
