Hello Keep it creepy, fuzzy & staiNed

You are receiving this review of "`Endless Night Dark Poetry ContestOpen in new Window. in connection with "Game of ThronesOpen in new Window..

*Gem* Overall Impression

This closed forum was made for a poetry contest that challenged participants to delve into the darkness of their creativity, to draw out the horrid imaginings of their muse, and scratch prose into doors using only one's fingernails. Okay, not exactly that last part, but you get what I'm saying. Spooky stuff! *Shock2*

The forum opens with an invalid link to what I can only imagine was the former banner for the contest. It always make me incredibly curious to think about what it could've been. It's like staring at a haunted house and trying to imagine the place in its glory days. I may have to check around your port for any instances of its existence; maybe it lingers on elsewhere, haunting another part of your port. *Ghost*

The rules for the contest are clear and concise and are very easy to manage, navigate, and get creative within. You were open with form, word count, line count, and even allowed writers to submit multiple entries—though only one of those entries could ultimately be selected as a winner within the competition. It appears your only requirement was the selection of one of the prompts you provided. At some point, I'll have to dive through some of the older posts to try and catch a glimpse of some of the prior prompts.

The last thing a visitor sees in the body of the forum is a heading for prompts for Round 40—which is left blank. It's rather poignant and poetic—pun intended—that this bit of information is missing, still lingering in the ether of eternity, somewhere out there just beyond our fingertips. It's a perfectly spooky call back for a contest that rewarded the darkness within our creative minds.

I sure hope that you revive this contest at some point. Because if there's one thing I know about spooky things, they never stay dead.

Write on! *Pencil*
