I love the rhythm of the poem and the images that come to mind on reading your words. You build the mood really well and this has an old-world feel to it.

I must admit to knowing very little of the things you refer to, I guess it's time to do a bit of research! So if there are nuances I've missed out on, maybe I'll catch them later.

A special shout out for the easy to read layout, which also sets the rhythm.
