You did a great job writing a lovely pet poem for the contest you are entering. You followed the prompt well with that first stanza. I could almost hear his purr. How lovely.


Shanti sounds like an awesome cat. I have a big boy cat and a really big girl cat. They are loving like Shanti, but only the boy is nimble like your cat. My boy cat is like a ninja.


I wondered if this was a form poem? It looks like it might be.


My favorite line was: "He's my alarm clock with four legs and a tail" because it made me smile. Cats are actually pretty good about time, as it relates to them, I've found. Mine sure know when it's feeding time or when my husband is due back from work.


Your love for Shanti shined throughout this whole cat poem, which made it even better.


I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your cat poem.
