It's one of the greatest rhyming poetry ever read before. Due to the blessings of God, we saw Lahaina and West Maui as the paradise of the heavens on the earth. But they were in utter chaos which was the cause of their destructions. It is very difficult to rebuild them once again but not impossible.
It taught them a lesson. Unrest, jealousy and pride always hamper our unity and cause severe damage. It will take time to make that huge loss. They also learn if you ignore the gifts of God. So they learn some useful lessons. I hope that will help create a good society.
