Pre-writing [13+] Pre-writing, not to be confused with research, is being ready for serious work. |
An Angel Army Review Hi Joy . I'm JACE , and I have the honor of reading and reviewing your offering "Pre-writing" . I invite your attention to the comments below. Please bear in mind these notes are from one on the outside looking in; ultimately only you can decide what's right for your story. Overall Impression. Now pre-writing is a subject I've never considered before. Fact is, I don't think I've ever heard of it. But having read your essay quite carefully, I can see some merit in your suggestions. In truth, I might use some of the suggestions you list. Others do not interest me. As such I don't think they would serve me well. For example, your numbers 3, 5 and 6 are things I could make work for me. One thing I didn't see noted (or perhaps I missed it). Should one pre-write every day, or just when the urge hits? Should the effort take a set amount of time, or just write until you tire? A quirk of mine is that I seem to be unable to write continuously without editing as I go. I read that one should just get all your words out on paper before editing. Yet that is elusive to me. I've bookmarked your item that I may find it easily later. I'm certain I'll need to re-read this a couple times. Technical and Editorial Considerations. In this section I normally list those areas that relate specifically to the mechanics of your writing--punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc. I found your offering to be well laid out and easy enough to read. Thanks for sharing it. My Rating. 4.5. Thank you for sharing this offering. Please accept these comments as offered in friendship and support. They are but my humble opinion.
