Hello, Sara Persaud!

Welcome to Writing.Com! I think it is a super fun and supportive community and I hope you love it here.

INITIAL IMPRESSION / OVERVIEW:

*Bulletg* You wrote a lovely poem about enjoying nature.

*Bulletg* Your writing kept me riveted and I read straight through to the end.

MORE DETAILED FEEDBACK:

*Bulleto* You engaged my emotions and senses as I read this fun nature poem of yours.

*Bulleto* I liked the physical elements. I could, in my mind, see the lightning, hear the thunder, and feel the rain. I could imagine this rainstorm as your dance floor and the joy you took in reveling in being outside in the raw elements.

*Bulleto* I love watching storms. I only like to be out in warm rainstorms though. The cold ones... I'll just stay inside. *Smile* I wondered what kind of temperatures you liked best for these storms.

*Bulleto* I loved the ending, because it was powerful and uplifting. I hope you do keep dancing!

*Bulleto* I didn't notice any spelling mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your fun nature poem.

*Bulleto* Because you're new here, and I remember what it was like to really want to get to that first 10 community recognition credits, I'm cordially inviting you to join my Habit Heroes challenge. You can earn an exclusive merit badge there every month. "Habit Heroes No pressure though! Just join if it appeals to you. The deadline to join for this month (and every month) is the seventh though, so if you are interested, be sure to sign up soon. It's free!

IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER:
In the spirit of helpfulness (and because of the rules of the Tour de Ports review challenge I'm in - you're welcome to join! The link should be at the bottom of my review), I have a suggestion to make your piece stronger.

*Bulletv* The only thing I can think of, is to add two additional genres. We're allowed three per piece and I think using all three is smart. Perhaps "nature" or "experience" or "personal" for your additional genres? This suggestion obviously isn't about your writing (that's lovely!), but just to help you possibly get more readers, and, should someone decide to nominate this poem of yours for a Quill award, could let you get included in more categories.

The Quill awards are a big deal here! You probably haven't heard of it before so I'll go get a link for you. Here you go: "Quill Nomination Form 2024 ... there are other links you can click through from there to learn more about them. You, even as a brand new member here, can nominate other's work if you would like too. Anything you think is stellar, I encourage you to nominate. *Smile* That's my personal rule of thumb. We aren't allowed to share what we nominate - it's all secret, but I find that it's a joy to nominate others and an honor to be nominated.

Back to the genres, as the host of a review challenge I once entered says (I think it was Jody Schnujo but am not 100% sure): "Genres help people find items to read/review and can increase your odds of being included in a Newsletter (because your item was spotted by a [Moderator] looking for genre items) or even increase your odds of winning "The Quills" (because it can be entered into multiple genre categories for additional chances to win)." Remember, the Quill Awards are a big deal here. It's a great honor to be nominated, I think, and your odds increase with more people viewing and liking your poem.

CONCLUSION: You have a great writing style and I enjoyed reading your poem about dancing in the rain.

*Bulletv* Thank you for sharing your time, creativity, and writing with the Writing.Com community!

*Bulletv* Once again, welcome to Writing.Com! I hope the year ahead is filled with blessings and joy for you!

May love, joy and peace be yours in abundance!
PWheeler
