This compelled my mind to consider your POV on this topic. But, part of what we know comes from a lack of good education. And, not feeling isolated or being unable to unite for rights, approach someone who'll listen, included he who guards the door to success. It could be the college system is a scam, though it can get you trade jobs or something a bit more scholarly.

Our perspective of wealth went from scoping out the lifestyles of rich and famous and thinking that would be the dream. Through experience we learn fairy tales are things not what they seem. You've made some good arguments. And I can't speak from where you stand, but I grew up on the other side of the tracks a place like never land. All they thought I'd be good for was working at a paper mill or joining the military.

Now, investment strategies, if done on your own and right, might be the way to go. However, the power and the true stockholders really make money off the pissants like me with our 'money managed' funds. So, I still only get the crumbs. And a financial advisor trying to get me to invest more has the audacity to tell me net worth of one million is not enough, so I'm out that door. Just keep on working until I'm dead, I guess.

There are people who get by on their looks and their charm, be it sociopath or narcissist to ante up and get their foot in the door. Glory runs through Hollywood and sport Halls of Fame. If I'm considered well endowed, they need look the other way, the playing field leveled a little. But, only enough to make it seem like the rest of have a shot. In fact, they've dumbed down our choices to what you say, survival, or just a little bit better than that. The one percent will not let go of their grip on power and money, but if their proclivities catch them by the privates in a "Me Too" scandal, it can thin the herd.

But who knows, the world keeps a spinnin' and it can get anywhere from nuclear to dystopian. There is so much out there that's happening that we don't have any mind to consider, let alone the ability to participate in. But, we can watch and root for a pro sport team and tout our favorite shows to stream and show off new tattoos with video game dreams, that's our lot. Who knows what tomorrow holds, but I know today, yesterday looked like a dream.
