Jeff, I started out thinking, "Wow, another fifty-year love story," and ended up thinking, "Wow, they didn't even make fifty years!" What a twist, and what a way to tell a story about a love that was and then wasn't. Thank you for sharing.

Why I read it: It was a random selection from Writing.com
What I liked: The smooth twist from sucking the reader into a very familiar place and then snatching them out to a totally unexpected place.
Recommendation: Consider re-reading and editing.
