Hello Dorianne Author Icon

My First Impression:

I enjoyed your bouncy little poem. You list several types of flowers, and a warning to be careful when planting "eye candy" in the form of flowers. Pets, as wonderful as they are, can be like children and sneak a taste, sometimes with bad consequences.

My Favorite Part:

My favorite flower is the yellow rose. I could watch them all summer. But I also remember crocuses poking through the snow when I lived in Michigan. I love the different flowers you wrote about. Each has their own beauty and charm.

My Suggestions/Final Thoughts:

Having had pets before, I also had to be careful of the indoor plants I choose. My favorite is the spider plant. I love how the "babies" grew into new plants and the cascading effect they had. I don't have to worry too much about pets now that I live with my kids, but I have my memories. I was lucky with my pets/plants. Only ever had one cat that menaced my indoor plants, but no effects could I see, other than chewed leaves.

Thank you for sharing your work, and thanks for letting me ramble.
