Virtual Dice

There is a fantastic little tool on Writing.com called "Virtual Dice". It is located under the "Site Tools" drop down menu.

Virtual Dice allow you to set parameters for a number range and how many results you want to see. You can save the results of the roll to an associated item. The rolling can even be given a name and some details so you, and everyone else, knows what it was for.

Here are some ideas for use of this little feature:

*Balloon3* To determine winners in a raffle.

*Balloon3* To randomly assign criteria for a contest. (e.g. write a poem based on the number x)

*Balloon3* Give yourself a challenge. Write a story based in the year xxxx or about a planet with only xx people or species. The options are unlimited as to what you could come up with.

*Balloon3* To determine winners of a contest that is not based on writing. eg. pick a number, a virtual 'guess the number of rubber bands in the cookie jar', etc.

*Balloon3* Have fun with creating a world/environment, creature or anything for a story, with virtual dice-determined statistics. eg. A world with x moons, inhabited by a creature with x eyes and xx spines. *giggle* *Wink*

*Balloon3* Determine the order of participation in a game (such as a Campfire Creative, or group-limited In and Out, Message Forum, etc.)

*Balloon3* Determine the number of words a story, poem or other item must contain for a contest or a personal challenge.

I am sure there are many more uses I have not thought of. Can you share any thoughts on this? Feel free to send them via the feedback form and I will include them in my next issue. *Smile*

Thanks for reading.

Thank you very much. Your support is so sweet and such an encouragement.

I always wondered why some people have yellow cases. What do they mean and how do you get them? Thanks!
