*Balloon2**Balloon2* Welcome to 2007 *Balloon2**Balloon2*

It is that peculiar time of year when we focus on the past and all it has given us, and look forward eagerly to the coming year. Some make resolutions to prepare for the year ahead, some sing Auld Lang Syne to commemorate the good, and the sorrowful, times shared last year.

So I will take my cue from the traditions of the period. Who am I to mess with age-old customs? *Wink*

So here is some basics provided within Writing.com (remembering the past).

*Leaf2* *Leaf4* *Leaf3* *Leaf1*

How could I leave this first off the list? Missed some old editions of the Noticing Newbies Newsletter? Perhaps you want to check out other newsletters available? This is a good way to see if another newsletter topic interests you. Or could be time to add it to your list of newsletters received weekly. You can browse through the newsletter archives here:

Second on my list has to be about your writing. Maybe you need some inspiration, want reviews on exisiting/old items or a desire to learn about your craft. These are a sampling of places you can go on Writing.com (WDC) to find these things. Use the Power Search or top links to find more.

And, finally on the past, I would like to take a moment to think of the special people in my life. Most importantly is God from whom my inspiration and abilities come from. Second is my husband, who allows me to stay at home and earn no money while I pursue my passion for writing. Then there is my family who support and believe in my writing.

Then there are a special group of people who I do not know by face nor by their real names (most often), but only by a handle in a cyber world called Writing.com. There are too many to name, but each one of you with whom I've had special communications are important to me...thank you, all.

*Leaf1* *Leaf2* *Leaf3* *Leaf4*

And now, we look to the future year and all it may hold. This time of year is one of expectation, excitement and anticipation. I am not generally one for making New Year's Resolutions, but I am one for dreaming.

These are some of my dreams for 2007:
*Flower3* Finish editing my novel and have it accepted for publication.
*Flower3* Find some places to publish my photography.
*Flower3* Earn some money from writing (finally).
*Flower3* Go on a holiday overseas.

Please share with me your goals for 2007 (via the feedback form below, or email if you prefer). Your goals may be writing related, or not. Sharing goals can solidify them in our thinking and make them a whole lot more exciting to attain. All responders will receive a little gift from me to start off your New Year.

Thanks for reading.

This newsletter is very cool, Sweetheart. An outstanding example of basic homespun truth. clean living breeds good clean writing, no matter who says otherwise. Bless you and yours!

I'm not sure if this was directed at one of my issues, but the timing fits. Anyway, I'll take the compliment, and the blessing. *Bigsmile* Thanks for sending in feedback.
