Letter from the editor

How often do you watch television?
How does it affect your writing?
Do you include any of it into your own stories?

Ever since I lost internet I've been watching more television, especially the news. Not everything is bad, however, most of it is either irrelevant or about murder. Media doesn't usually play a big role is mystery book, but what if it did?

Let's face it, not everything is exactly as it is or as they tell us. You won't hear a lot when it comes to the world news and when you do it's either sugar coated or not entirely true. The media doesn't actually lie, they simply omit the truth and tell you only what they want you to know. You may think I'm making this up. Perhaps. Perhaps, we want to be blind to the things which might affect us in any way.

Do you ever watch international news? Local news is one thing, but those channels which provide us with information from all around the world might be shocking to some of us who don't pay close attention.

If media did indeed affect your own writing, tell me the reasons and the ways as to why. Would you even consider writing a story from a different point of view and how would you go about it?

Til next time,

~ Gaby *Witchhat*
