Are You Called?

Have you felt called to be a writer? I would guess you're here on Writing.Com because you have that desire to write. Whether or not you wish to write the next "great novel" or you just want to learn to express yourself better, you're in a great place to perfect that craft called writing.

WDC will not publish your work for you--we're a peer to peer writing site that affords you the opportunity to network with other persons who share your writing desire. The old adage "two heads are better than one" is so true here. All members have the same thing in common as you now--they were once new and knew very little about the site.

Don't just sit back and just post your work, waiting for someone to find it and review it. Get involved with a group that shares your writing interest. There are literally hundreds of groups on Writing.Com. There's a good chance one or more can help with your chosen genre. Even better, find another member (or several) with whom you can strike up a dialogue regarding your interests.

Check out the many articles, essays, and reviews of stories and poems similar to your work; they can all help you fine-tune your writing. There are no shortage of items available on WDC at can help you become the writer you want to be. You don't have to go it alone. Begin with WDC's Search engine.

Next issue I'll discuss some specific features and items that can help you on your writing journey. Until then ... Write On!

From Sum1's In Schaumburg Author Icon: Uhhhh, Jace. Anniversary Reviews has been run by me, courtesy of NaNoNette Author Icon for the last three years. She needed more family time, so she transferred the forum and everything to do with it to me at that time. *Smile*

Wow! *Blush* My apologies, Sum1's In Schaumburg Author Icon. I made that correction as soon as you told me.
