Hi! It's Marci and I am your Comedy Newsletter editor for today. I wouldn’t consider myself a comedic writer. So then why am I editing the comedy newsletter? Because even the most dramatic, suspenseful, and mysterious works need something called “comic relief” once in a while. So if you are not a natural comedian, then this is the place for you and we shall find comic relief in everyday life together.
An anonymous tweet from a Mom: Son you've created a monster. It's 11pm and your 51yo father is outside chasing Pokemon!
And you gotta love this headline:

Pokemon Go and the Aquarium
If you haven’t heard of the new craze, Pokemon Go, then you must have your head buried somewhere. So of course, I had to get it for my kids. I’m the only one with an iPhone, and for some reason, the kids can’t get it on their phones.
When you first open the game, you get a message that says, “Remember to be Alert at all times.” You must use caution to play a game on your phone? I didn’t understand it to begin with. I’m still trying to figure out some of the ins and outs. But the cool thing about this app is that it’s getting people out and about. You have to walk to most places to find a Pokemon.
Anyway, people playing Pokemon Go can really get themselves into trouble or at least run into trouble that’s already happened. One such incident, which is really funny, happened when two guys were chasing Pokemon. They weren’t paying attention where they were going and they fell off a cliff. This wouldn’t be so funny if they were hurt, but they were fine. How can you be so engrossed in an app that you fall off a cliff?
So, back to playing this with my kids… We went to the aquarium a couple weeks ago, and, of course, we decided to look for Pokemon while we were there. We got a couple in the parking lot and one near a waterfall at the side of the building. Then we went inside. We saw there were some inside as we wandered around, and then the ONE appeared. The one I could not get to. Apparently, it was inside the mermaid tank. We went all the way around it, and we couldn’t get to it. Who knew that Pokemon could swim?
Okay, so I know absolutely nothing about Pokemon. But you don’t need to know anything about Pokemon to play this game. However, I don’t recommend diving into a tank with mermaids and stingrays to get one. Nor do I recommend walking over the edge of a cliff!
Now, I have some great ideas to work into my next novel!
Happy Gaming!
