Our basic purpose here on earth

Have we ever think about what is our main purpose here on earth?
Why we are here? What is the purpose of our existence?
Are we intended to live or just only by accident why we are here?
are we just only destined to follow the typical short cycle of life phase?
wherein we are born, then study, get a college degree or get a job, marry, have a family of our own, raise kids then face the retirement life, grow old and then return to dust?

There are several theories on how humans were created, these can be based on science, legends, philosophy, but I do mostly believed 101 percent that humans were created by God, as the book of Genesis in the Holy Bible stated that we are wondrously created by God and was made in His own images and likeness, in other words, everything that God made is good and created for a good purpose.

And we-humans were included in that creation, so we are here on earth for a good purpose.

Here are some several things that we should consider why we are created by God and that He always has a good purpose in us.

*Check* 1. We are created for the environment- Human are stewards of the earth.
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it.
~ Genesis 2:15
Notice the words work it and keep it, work is to improve and keep is to maintain, preserve or manage.
So one of our main basic purposes is to yes improve but we should also maintain, preserve and manage our environment.
Now, let's try to open our eyes and observe our environment nowadays.
I wonder if we are doing this first basic purpose that was given to us? Are we one of those who pollute, abuse our environment or those who conserve and protect it?

*Check* 2. We are created to become dominion to other creature.
Then God said: Let us make man in our image after likeness. And let have them dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heaven, and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.~ Genesis 1:26
The keyword here is "dominion," it's different from the word "abuse" that we are doing now to those helper creatures that God gave us to take care of.
When I was still a kid and grandma always taking me with her to go to market, we often rode to a "kalesa" a small cart or wagon ride which pulls by a horse to transport us to go to market and I always felt pity to those horses each time I saw them pulling a cart or wagon especially when they were beaten by stick by the horseman under the sun's heat or didn't give enough water to drink. I often ask grandma if it's every horse purpose is to be used to pull cart or wagon.
It's good now because those kind of transportation is already obsolete.

*Check* 3. We are created to serve others.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.~ Peter 4:10
Serving others means serving, sharing our love for others with respect and sincerity. Others may include our family, our kids, our friends our neighbors, or strangers and even our enemies because by showing our love to them we are following one of the commandments of God and He will be pleased for us, because God is love, when we show our love especially to others, God dwells in us.
But don't forget my friend that serving is different from being a slave.

*Check*4. We are created to protect the temple of God.
Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.~ 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

Have we taking care of our bodies? have we nourishing our bodies with the right kind of foods, good rest and sleep? are we having a good and healthy lifestyle?
Bodies here are physical and spiritual bodies, we have them both.
Don't forget that if anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him too.
So when we abuse our bodies, automatically it will be destroyed.
So if our body is the temple of God, indeed, we should protect and use to glorify Him.
Do you know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; You were brought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

*Check* 5. We are created by and for the Lord.

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him, all things hold together.~ Colossians 1:15-17

The above verse is clear, we are created by and for the Lord, we belong to Him, to live for Him, to be with Him someday, so we must live in accordance with His will, following the Truth, because The Truth will set us free.

Even if our life that we have now will not be like the famous celebrity or the richest man here in this world, but doing these basic purposes why we are here on earth is self-fulfillment. It is more than to any gold or silver that may perish, these are works that someday it will take credits and will be rewarded.

So never think my friend that we are existed by accident. We have here each one basic purpose and it is more important than those wordly things we've known that may perish.*Heart*
