Demon Saga Episode 1: Highway


Headlights move down an open highway while a violent storm rages outside. The clock on a radio blinks twelve O?clock as if screaming to be set to the correct time. The cars engine hums and a woman, not a day over thirty-two was wildly looking around her, hardly concentrating on the road it?s self. This woman, not being able to see her pursuer, sighs and looks out straight out to the long road ahead of her.

She hears the flapping of wings outside of the car and the sound of metal bending as something crashed into the roof of the car from above. The woman screams and looses control of the car and starts to go off-road but not before a clawed demon hand reaches through the metal of the roof of the car and tries to reach for the woman. The car smashes into a guardrail and the arm disappears through the roof as the woman?s head smashes into the steering wheel.

The horn was going off and the woman slowly lifted her head and looked through the shattered windows. She listened for the sound of flapping wings and heard nothing. Maybe she killed it? Maybe she hurt in enough to make it go away? Or maybe it was still out there waiting for her to make her move? Many things ran through her head at once.

As she sighed and laughed she pulled some strands of blond hair back behind her ear and the roof of the car is torn off and the winged demon pulls her out of the car and carries her off into the night. Her screams are silenced and soon after the demons eyes light up and he starts to laugh.
