The Sky is Grey

If you look into my eyes,
you will see
that the sky is grey.
And the world once died.

Signs remain that a fire had once
swept the landscape.
A tree made of black carbon
falls slowly to pieces.

But in the sulphurous light
you will see
a dark silhouette
which appears to be breathing.
